Lurgan Town
Situated on the southern shore of Lough Neagh, with a population of 25,000 this market town was established in the 17th Century. The linen industry gave impetus to the town’s development in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The majority of buildings are Victorian or earlier in date, with many notable and worth a visit. Historic Trails are available throughout the year.
Lurgan Town Park is the second largest public park in Ireland, with a host of playing fields, country walks and children play areas. The visiting angler is also well catered for with a large number of fishing stands at Lurgan Park Lake, in the centre of the park.
